I updated to Firefox 2 a few weeks ago and it automatically updated all my extensions. Unfortunately, the browser kept hanging/freezing while surfing. After a process of elimination of extensions it seems the Google Toolbar is causing the problems. I uninstalled it and haven’t had a crash or freeze since. Other people seem to be having the same problem as well. Other extensions mimic the toolbar but don’t give you the pagerank, which is one of the main reasons I use the Google toolbar.
Ah well, suppose I’ll have to wait till Google fix it. Anyone else having this problem?
I am thinking about down-grading to Firefox 1.x.x. I am starting to get sick of the crashes. It has to be a JavaScript problem for sure, other blog reporting that they disable JavaScript and the crashes go away. JavaScript is needed in my world! AHH!
I have the same issues. I don’t really like the alternatives, so I too am waiting on google.
