Global Media Pro - BUYER BEWARE

Do not buy any gear off globalmediapro, they’re dodgy as fuck. You pay them through IBAN bank transfer which is European, yet goods are shipped from locations all around the world, Singapore, China and Japan. They claim to be 3 or 4 days delivery but it took us 3 weeks. When the goods arrived by courier, we’d to pay nearly double the price in customs to get the stuff which we thought were coming from the EU.

We emailed and phoned to complain but with no response. They’re dodgy, do not deal with them. Loads of people having problems with them as well. And word is they threaten to sue people who complain on forums.

And if Globalmediapro is reading this and thinking of suing, you can find my address by whois-ing this domain. Thanks

We would like to take the opportunity to reply to your comments on the service experience you had when shopping with us.

Firstly we would like to apologise again for the issues you had - we take these issues seriously and have adopted the learnings from them into our continuous improvement programme.

For the benefit of other readers I have attached our original response to your posting:

1. We shipped your order immediately except the lens. We are sorry for the delay. Delays do happen. We try to minimize them.

2. The fact that we may ship from outside the EU is written in the Terms of trade you accepted when placing your order. We are a New Zealand company. We never claimed to be an EU company. We hold bank accounts in the EU be able to accept European SEPA payments.

3. It is incorrect that tax doubles the cost. To calculate your final cost you may need to ask your accountant about VAT Return. VAT return allows to claim VAT back the end of the VAT period. You may have already received the VAT back.

We have many customers in your country who buy again and again. Resellers buy from us. After you calculate your final cost we hope you will buy again.
