A lot of schools and colleges around Ireland like NUIG have blocked Bebo the social networking site. I’ve seen a few methods used like blocking the Bebo IP, blocking anything with ‘bebo’, ‘proxy’ or ‘unblock bebo’ in the the URL. I set up a unblock bebo proxy that obfuscates the URL that seems to work.

i think that you should post a website which allows us to unblock myspace on ur website as i love ur website and get so bored in school. im in yr 11 and the amount of courework i do is shite and bores me and i need a break from it for checkig mail etc.

We block Bebo so that
1) you actually do some work instead of chatting all day
2) keep you away from paedos who lurk in bebo and myspace pretending to be kids like you
If you want to put yourself in danger at home thats your business. Please don’t ask your school to as well. We can’t. And those proxies your using are just going to get us in trouble.

See the weird thing is bebo is locked on my connection at home but I am the only one that uses it. No one else in my house knows hot to use a computer and being the wrong side of 20 no need to anyway.
Any ideas on how this could have happened and how I can repair the problem?
ahem…i need bebo. people who dont use it eg: the people who block it, don’t know how cool and useful it is.

I didnt have sites like myspace and bebo when I was in school, which really very long ago. I would love to use this sorta thing in work - but I dont wanna risk it.
